Hi! I'm Dr. Naricia Futrell. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker, licensed in Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas who has been practicing for greater than 10 years. I currently hold a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters and Doctorate in Social Work. At Gihon, we work with adults, children, couples and family systems using a holistic approach to help individuals tap into their own strengths in working through problems.

    Hello! My name is Bianca Powell and I am a masters level social worker. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Tennessee-Martin and my Masters Degree in Social Work from Union University. I have been working with clients in the behavioral health field for 8 years. My experience includes working in the outpatient setting where I provide a safe place for clients of all ages and backgrounds. As a therapist it is my goal to provide a non-judgmental setting where clients feel safe as we work together to help them accomplish their goals.

     My name is Keisha Watson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Masters in Social Work.  I have served individuals, children, families and couples of Shelby County for over 15 years.  I utilize eclectic approaches drawing from a variety of therapeutic interventions to best meet the needs of my clients.  My aim is to provide exemplary and quality service while empowering clients to optimize their strengths for personal growth.

Welcome! My name is Maya Johnson and I am a Memphis native with a natural-born gift to create and heal. I am a Master's Level Mental Health Counselor. I hold a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology from Fisk University and a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. I have worked with children, teens, and adults, who suffer from mental health disorders in residential, hospital, and therapeutic settings. Over the years, I  have gained experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, mindfulness, and person-centered approaches. My goal is to allow others to channel their trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression through artistic expression to begin the healing for the soul and mind.

MAYA JOHNSON, MC

Tabatha Johnson, Memphis native and Master level Social Worker, currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Christian Brothers University and a Master of Social Work degree from Union University. Ms. Johnson has over 10 years of mental health and community outreach experience working with at-risk youth, delinquent adolescents, young adults, and families. She currently works as a licensed school therapist and certified crisis prevention instructor. Ms. Johnson aims to strengthen individual and family functioning through the implementation of evidence-based interventions such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, behavior management practices, and a combination of other therapeutic interventions based on the needs of clients. In her spare time, Ms. Johnson enjoys reading, yoga, fitness, and traveling.

TABATHA  JOHNSON, LSSW, MSW

My name is Alysha Stella and I am a master’s level social worker. I worked in emergency medical services for a few years before pursuing my bachelor's in psychology and master's in social work. Growing up in a dual military family that constantly moved and traveled around the globe, allowed me to experience a variety of different cultures and practices. I have experience working with youth and families in the foster care system, substance abuse disorders, blended family issues, anxiety and depression in inpatient and outpatient settings. My goal is to provide an honest, respectful space for clients to share their thoughts, feelings, and struggles and to work with them to improve their lives.  

ALYSHA STELLA, MSW

Dr. LaTraci D. Aldridge is a native Memphian with a passion for working with children of all backgrounds. She started her collegiate career at Tennessee State University in 2001. She transferred to University of Memphis in 2004 and graduated with her Bachelors in Psychology in 2005. In 2010, she obtained her Masters degree in Counseling with a concentration in School counseling. She obtained her Phd in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2021 from The University of Memphis. She has worked in various positions in social services and has been in the field of education since 2010. She currently serves as a High School Counselor.  Her research focus is school counseling and virtual school counseling. Additionally, she is also a National Certified Counselor and sees clients part-time. She has been married to Robert Aldridge for 15 years and they have 2 boys, Brandon (17) and Tristan (14) and a dog, Charlee.

 My name is Danielle Peoples and I am a masters level social worker with a licensure in school social work. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social work as well as my Masters in Social Work from the University of Memphis. I have worked with children, teens, adults, geriatrics, and families who suffer from mental health disorders in both educational and therapeutic settings. Over the years, I have gained experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered approaches. My goal is to help clients manage their stress and emotions, while setting personal goals in a safe environment.
